This lovely Arita-yaki teacup has tiny red flowers on white porcelain. It is perfect to serve premium sencha or gyokuro.
Arita-yaki (Aritaware) is porcelain produced in the town of Arita in Saga Prefecture. In 1616 a Korean potter discovered argil in Arita and the discovery contributed to start Japanese porcelain history.
- Before using this product for the first time, wash lightly using a soft sponge in lukewarm water.
- Our teapots and teacups are durable; however, teapots are recommended to wash by hand.
